Maybe you’ve been so hungry you could eat a horse! But definitely not another human. Well, this gator went far beyond his normal snacks and decided a 6-foot-long member of his own species would make for fine dining. A six-foot-long alligator, you ask? Yes, and you can imagine the enormous size of the gator that decided that large of a reptile would make an adequate afternoon snack. This dang gator is monstrous! Hence the title of this article. The video opens with a gator’s head reaching just above some water and hidden slightly behind some raised grass. Now, we’re not privy to the exact moment of capture but the video quickly cuts to a grisly sight. There was no real frame of reference for the predator gator’s size until the next clip, where you can see that the other six-foot gator is able to fit in this much, much larger gator’s mouth. You can see a limp gator arm and a limp gator body hanging out of the hungrier gator’s mouth. The camera zooms in, and you can see how the larger gator is thrashing his head about to fit the smaller gator’s body in all the way. The video shows another clip immediately after where the larger gator’s got just one last little gator leg sticking out of its mouth. He seems to be savoring while swallowing. He chomps down again, and that little gator leg starts to disappear. Finally, the larger gator takes his last bite, and you can barely make out some of the smaller gator’s toes as his entire body disappears into the digestive system of the predatory gator. Watching the scene once is enough. But this video goes on to replay the event several times, zooming in on those last moments when the large gator is getting his fill. Apparently, this was filmed in someone’s backyard. Not quite the taste of the wild you would imagine for someone enjoying the afternoon sun just outside their home. We guess there must be a sense of reprieve knowing that you’re not the meal that monstrous gator was considering that day … but still. Way too close for comfort. What a freaky scene! And definitely not for the squeamish. The son of the homeowner ended up sharing this video on social media and his dad chimed in, saying that this isn’t the only time cannibalism like this has been spotted on his property. Sounds like a lot and we can’t say we’re envious of where these people live! Even if they were able to capture some crazy, viral-worthy content!
